Guy of the week.

I've decided that every week I will endevour to bring you my prestigious "Guy of the week" award. Every week, I will select a person who I feel has made an impact on me. This week will be based soley on a gut instinct as I do not have any information on this guy, in fact he came to me in a random google image search and I've kept him around ever since. It's hard to describe, I guess...I guess he just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Shamepies. Anyway, without furthr adu, I present to thee.... *bum* bum* buuuuum*...

Need a good discoo?

These guys call themselves Abbacat Mobile Disco and Video. The awsome thing about this company is that they get right down to the nitty-gritty on their site... no fucking around. I mean, if they didn't advertise th e fact on the front page of their site, I would have never known that they owned a snow machine. Another example is here in the 'functions' section where they say:

Even if the food, flowers and room are not quite perfect, the right entertainment can make your party a huge success.

Saving money by hiring a cheap disco, is false economy.

I mean honestly, who can argue with that logic!? Oh yes, and on top of all of this, you can get your website designed by Abbacat too. I mean why go and get an epensive "professional" website done when for the price of onlyR800 you can go straight to your local resident DJ/Wedding video filmer/function planner and get it done overnight! how wonderful! here are some screen shots of their work although I'm sure you're sold already!

Violet Moyo

My friend showed me this masterpiece a few months ago, it's a muic video by performance artist and remixer Violet Moyo. I didn't think anyone would have the same feeling for the video as me, I didn't even think anybody else had seen it and I kinda forgot about it. Then I was trawling through Myspace as one does when one should be working... and I came across my mate Gabi's profile... she had the video posted on her main page... since this reminder I have been watching it a little obsesivly, up to 50 times a day it might sound weird but there is just something about her gracefull movement and silky voice that just wont let me tear myself away from her. There is just something about the combination of such beauty and quality music in a woman that I will never be able to utter... anyway, let me not ramble any further here is "Crazy" by Violet Moyo. Enjoy, but rember... she's mine.

Never in my wildest dreams when starting this blog did I think that I would find such a gem for my very first blog. I found CG Vega on Youtube, this particular video of his has had a total of 25 views since the 10th of November 2006. You gotta love this guy for taking the piss out of himself (I think??) but shit... this is arb, man..

after exploring old CG's offerings a little further, I was even more confused by this video entitled "Rolphing in Afrikaans"...

Now as far as I knew, Rolph was a guy from my school and I really didn't understand at all until I found this, which turned out to be the original video which CG had made a video response to..

ha... the Americans were funny... but this is all too much for me.
